The Golden Peach

Life Beyond The Peach Pages

  • What seems like a lifetime ago, I once was a writer, and a pretty prolific one at that. Back when AOL was the primary source of media for many of us, I wrote or journaled, as we were often reminded, a blog/journal called The Peach Pages. On those “pages” I chronicled my life with my bald husband and two adorable but diabolical sons.

But somewhere along the way, I couldn’t write anymore. It took me forever to realize that I had started to write about things in a different way, a far cry from my previous content, thus over a decade of writer’s block.

Now looking back, I can still see the stories that prompted me to share them with the world. My boys are grown, the Bald Avenger is…balder…and I am still here, living a life of stories.

I realize that there are likely very few who remember the stories I told of the shenanigans of The Butter and The Big Guy, but don’t write me off just yet. They still play a pivotal role in the every day stories of our lives. They just happen to have very talkative little doppelgangers who bring such joy and new stories into our lives.

So if you don’t know who I’m talking about, you’ll know eventually. And if you do know, you’ll realize I’m just picking up where I left off.
